Anki shared decks japaanese12/25/2023 ![]() ![]() I can give you a few examples from my own experience with the core deck like 5 years ago. Just my opinion btw, not trying to attack the core decks. (It also has pitch accent colorings with a diagram when you hover over the word, but it's not distracting for those who want to ignore it) Only minor drawback is that in the N4 deck some words are repeated but it's no major issue. The Tango decks I posted have great Audio too. After that is when I started the core 6k deck (I suspended all known words of course which was about 2k words), but gave up soon afterward as I hated the words it deemed "core". I personally completed both decks and really loved them. Normally you would have to buy these books or decks but someone has made a free version that is really good in my opinion: ![]() I recommend decks based on the Tango N5/N4 Book Series since they have i+1 sample sentences (meaning that every new card has a sentence with only one new word). Also, the sample sentences are really not helping since many sentences contain vocabulary that has not yet been covered in the deck itself. The first 2k words are fine (mostly) but after that many business terms that in my opinion overshadow other much more useful and frequent words pop up frequently. I personally detest the core decks as the frequency list they are based on is really poor quality.
